The town is swarming with visitors
Last night, we wandered into town at 6pm
We crossed the path of the following procession
Of Roman soldiers, religious statues,
The Virgin of Dolores, Christ, mourners in black
Baby angels, making their way

From the Iglesia Santo Domingo
To the Oratorio
After Dinner,
Walking through the Jardin
We heard the drums
The trumpets
The horns
As another procession
Rounded the bend
Angels in front, then soldiers
Penitentes, musicians
Followed by parishoners
Thursday evening the siete casas
The photos tell it all
A visit to the seven houses

An evening of visiting
And praying
Thousands are on the streets
Lined up around the block
To view and to pray
The devotion is remarkable

With soldiers leading them
To their death.
